Let me share something personal. At 18, I was chosen to be a squad leader in Air Force basic training. Want to know what I did?
I intentionally messed up marching to get out of it. Yeah, really. My plan worked – or so I thought.
My Training Instructor pulled me aside and said something I'll never forget: "Worthy, you think you got away with it. But I can spot a leader running away from being a leader all day long. When you are called to lead... you lead."
This Week's Truth Bomb
Leadership isn't something we choose – it often chooses us. And just like that young airman who tried to dodge it, many of us still find ourselves trying to run from aspects of leadership that feel uncomfortable.
